The Rod And Reel Resort

What a fabulous location with the best view in AMI! Private patio to watch the fantastic sunrises and relax in the shade with an adult beverage. Location was a walk or a bike ride to Pine Street, the park where the osprey’s were nesting or to the City Pier’s museum and the fun of watching pelicans try to outsmart the fishermen. In the opposite direction, a short stroll to Bean Point, where there is plenty of soft beautiful sand, dolphins and more birds. Plenty of close by restaurants to choose from, we loved The Dr’s Office and The Waterfront. For a quick meal, Grub was good too. The unit itself lent itself to cooking if you desire, plenty of space with friends or family staying in one of the other units togather.ed The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes so you did not have to run the dishwasher 1/2 empty. Having 1 1/2 bathrooms was very nice and we used both. When you were finished with the day, great privacy blinds were on each window and you were able to cocoon and relax until the next sunrise. The pool and hot tub were steps from the door as was going into the water. The staff was very responsive to our needs, and Ty was especially helpful as the onsite manager, going the extra mile with each request, or anticipating what we might need. I hope to stay again soon!

We stayed in Suite 8 and it is gorgeous! The view from inside or on the deck was perfect, even better than it looked online. The resort is terrific - beautiful, very private and quiet. My brother and sister in law have been wintering in Florida for 20+ years and were impressed with the Rod and Reel. The finishes are superior and the beach is right outside the gate, the pool was beautifully lit at night, the kayaks were fun and we rode the bikes to restaurants and all over the island. The pool and hot tub were spotless and refreshing. The Rod and Reel Pier next door had good food and was so entertaining with people fishing all day long. We gravitated to it daily. Suzette was terrific to deal with and Ty & Tanya took great care of us and kept the resort in order, from providing whatever we needed to even raking the beach every day. Anna Maria has loads of great restaurants and is very scenic. It's easy to walk to many places, too. We're coming back to Suite 8 at the Rod and Reel next February.
